HGV Class 1 Drivers – Cambridgeshire

Employ Recruitment is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers – Cambridgeshire to support ongoing container and trunking contracts across the region. Current work operates from Peterborough and surrounding depots, with routes covering Cambridgeshire and neighbouring counties.

If you are a Class 1 driver based in Peterborough, Cambridge, Huntingdon, St Neots, Wisbech or Ely, we have structured weekday work available with consistent start times and guaranteed minimum pay.

PAYE Pay Rates HGV Class 1 Drivers – Cambridgeshire

Monday to Friday AM: £16.00 per hour
Monday to Friday PM: £17.50 per hour
Saturday AM: £19.00 per hour
Saturday PM: £20.00 per hour
Sunday AM: £20.00 per hour
Sunday PM: £20.50 per hour

AM shifts from 04:00
PM shifts from 16:00
Rate remains fixed during your shift.

(In-House Payroll – No Umbrella)

The Role – HGV Class 1 Drivers – Cambridgeshire

PM start times approximately 16:00
Monday to Friday rota

Container deliveries from port to customer locations
Average shift length approximately 12 hours

This is container work requiring recent port experience and familiarity with port procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
Minimum 2 years HGV driving experience
Recent port experience
Valid DCPC card
Digital Tachograph card
Professional and reliable approach
Good written and spoken English
